I am happy to announce that Jessica Schnakenberg, licensed paralegal, has joined Ducharme Law. Ms. Schnakenberg completed her paralegal course at Loyalist College, and became licensed in 2010. She has extensive courtroom experience arguing in Provincial Offences Court, the Superior Court of Ontario – Small Claims, and in Administrative Tribunals across northern Ontario. At Ducharme Law she will be offering her services representing clients in the following areas:
- Litigation at Small Claims Court
- Traffic Tickets
- Regulatory Offences (MNR Charges, By-law infractions)
- Worker’s Compensation
- Employment Insurance
- Human Rights
- Landlord/Tenant Disputes
Paralegals, like lawyers, are licensed by the Law Society of Upper Canada, after taking a four year college program and sitting an intensive day-long examination. A paralegal is authorized to provide legal services in areas like small claims, traffic court, and administrative boards, at rates that are more affordable than a lawyer’s.
Jessica was born and raised in Haileybury. After completing secondary school she worked in the community until deciding to return to College, choosing a field that would allow her to return home and help the people she grew up with.
If you would like to retain Jessica to represent you, please call Ducharme Law at 705-680-0022 for a consultation.
